This is my first ever build. I have had a lot of Harley's but always wanted something like a Big Dog. Well when it cost more than what I make in a year,I decided to try and build my own. I started with a Jireh Frame with 8 inches of strectch in the downtubes and 4 inches in the back bone and 38 degrees of rake. The engine case came from Jireh as well. Everything else came from the Swap Meets or Ebay. Saved me a ton of money!!! I work at a Vo-Teck and the motorcycle instructor offered to assemble the motor for me. Who am I to say no?? He did an excellant job. I did the paint and the assembly of the bike myself. Once again, saved me a tone of money.Pearce Performance has a website that takes the guess work out of figuring rake and trail for your front end, check them out! My bike rides as smooth as any Harley I ever had. I just want anyone who is considering doing their own build to GO FOR IT!!! If you can read a Service Manual and have some mechanical aptitude, you can do it. Hell if I can anyone can. Feel free to ask me anything,I'd be more than glad to try and help. GO FOR IT!!!!
