Awww yeah...
Its after midnight, and I gotta work at 6am... Just got done with another mad fab weekend, all kinds of stuff accomplished. Pics to follow, but first riddle me this;
How is that I have a modified frame that .75" wider and the trans moved left .75", but I still use the regular .25" primary spacer from motor to trans? On top of that, I should need a .5" front pulley off-set for the BDL right? Nope, I bought the .5 pullet spacer but I had to shim it out .255 to line up, so I have to return it for the .75 off-set.
Another crazy thing... The bike was running before with a 127 tooth belt. I get the drive line lined back up ( I do have a new BDL belt drive and Primo Trans), and the belt is too short, I have to go get a 130 tooth and part with $180! Is a BDL primary plate shorter than a stock H-D enclosed primary... I dunno, but everything fits and is straight now.
Here we go with pics;

I got the Spyke Chrome starter for .99 cents, no shit... $20 for shipping but hey, FTW. This is why you have to put a RESERVE price on your auctions!

Ok, now to the chop... Used a Twisted Choppers radius rear fender. I bobbed it off just past 12 o'clock and carved out the relief for the belt.

The other side; Really nice laser cut radius that is perfect to an 18 inch rim, but the skirt is 2 inches deep...

But I like a short skirt, so it was time to break out the saws and the flap-disc. I took it down .75 and when I was happy with the shape I fab'd the struts from 1/2" round bar and some 3/8" x 1 inch bungs I had left over from the last build.
To be fair, I had to make the bends on this side twice. The first one my last bend was just 3/8" off where it should have been and trying to bend it back only messed up the steel. Took a good hour to get this right and another 20 minutes coping the ends for a tight fit.
Here is another shot;

I actually did this side first, pretty easy but cutting just right and coping by hand was a bit tedious.

So all together I got the drive-line straight (barley used any spacers), bobbed & skirted the fender and mounted it with fender struts. I didn't get the primary bungs done, I'm not looking forward to the good two hours it will take to cope the bungs (unless I can find my pneumatic file).
Here's a look at a handy new tool I grabbed at Industrial Metal Supply, Strong-Hand Tools small Pipe Pliers, perfect for holding bungs dead-on square, and it was only $12.

Now it's stating to look like a CFL should compared to what it used to be...
