That ends up on Ebay every 3 months or so,.........never budges on the price,......waiting for the "fad" to kick in again, I guess.

CHOPPERS NOT DEAD, WE JUST DON'T HAVE THE $$$ TO FUCK AROUND NOMO !
and I think that's better for the ''wave''...in some way. all the pops in only for the ''cool factor'' but 0 passion will back off from choppers. chopper shops closing down...that's the bad part...
only the real passionate ones will ride/build chopps now and everything will become a subculture, again. how it supposed to be.
oh wait, that already started...

What a bargain. He wanted $125K a couple of years ago. I think Mr. DelRay will be holding onto that one for a while.

Yes, the fad is over and that is a good thing. While the whole craziness was going on I sure as the heck couldn't afford a custom build to be done FOR me, but I could save up enought to get the quality stuff I needed to do it myself, which I always felt was the point.
I sure as the hell don't bust Jesse's balls for the issues in his personal life, none of my buisness and I don't care. Only thing that burns my ass is that I once heard him say (and I can't remember what magazine interview or Tv show he said it) something about how he makes frames and parts for the builders who do things for themselves, that was the true meaning and intenet (I am paraphrasing).
So Why did he shut down WCC, sell out the rights to his parts to over-seas manufacturers, and pretty much focus his empire on a 'lifestyle' label which continuing to build one-offs for the rich and famous until it all came crumbling down? Well, that's buisness I guess... My only contention is that he he says he's getting back to the real core of what he loves, building bikes (paraphrasing again from announcements earlier this year that JJ was back opening Austin Speed Shop)... SO, to my statement above about how he was focusing on the true at-home and small shop builders... If that is true why did he choose to go back to building bikes for the rich-and famous rather than get back to making parts and frames for us average Joes?
As far as Vanilla Gorilla... I think its probably worth $95K to a true collector for its straight up historical and cultural symbolism... But if this guy is trying to sell it I guess he's not as passionate about bikes as he proabably should be. JMO
