Your smashing through your bike!
I didn't start the build until I had enough parts to get almost all the way through the mock up. My frame sat in my living room for almost a year. It was tough to look at it every day, but worth it to me because of how fast it's coming along now. In that time period it gave me a lot of time to be on CC so that my build would be perfect (to me).

Thanks, you and me both, it was supposed to go out for paint tomorrow but I got to wait on a new baker tranny, so we can mount the fender and then mount the seat pan close to the fender. All of that will finish the mock up, and then off to boosted brads for paint and the 3-4 week wait on that, then back for final assembly.

Leave the pipes alone until you get your paint sorted. Then pick whichever goes with it best. You're just a bit north of me, we should go on a ride sometime if I ever get my CFL done.

I agree about waiting for your paint "but" it looks like you already have black for your forwards and bars so you are going to need some more black accents. I would go with JetHot though, just my opinion...

I'd leave the pipes chrome then get them done black when the lower pipes tip get's scratched up and bent. Don't ask me how I know..

Gotta agree with Socal, with the bars and controls black, the contrast of the pipes black against the motor would be bitching!

And it would really set off the titty pink!! LOL

If the bikefest is at the end of next month, I would like to. That's if my stuff is back from paint 4 weeks on paint and probably 1 on final assembly. As long as Murphy's law doesn't take over. Just let me know on the dates.

I did a high temp powder coat black on the stripper pipes below. Even the high temp stuff chipped off, so if you do it, go jethot. since jethot is ceramic, it might insulate better, but those black pipes on the stripper roasted my leg terrible. if you do it, and i know they don't look as nice to some people, but a chrome heat shield might save the skin under your right leg. black pipes get brutally hot.
