I went the Uber-simple route. Depends on what WA state laws require. TN laws only require you to have just headlight, tail light, brake light. I have a key start, and high beam only, so I have no wires in the bars. My harness is smaller than the diameter of my pinky finger.

Nice pictures there man, I have to have everything, Brake light, front and rear indicators, rear tail light, head light, horn. And the switches have to be on the handle bars, along with the speedo.

But after rego will modify everything so it doesn't look god damn ugly.

So the easy way it is, I'm going to buy those parts Donovan posted and see how I go with that.

I would put switches on the bars and wire tie all the wires, maybe even put some wire loom over it to conceal all the ugly so that you can rip it off after registering.

I'm actually going to have 2 sets of handle bars, one low to pass seat to handlebar height, then after I'm going to get 14" apes. On the low bars I'll have all the normal thumb buttons for lights and indicators and horn, and also a speedo.

With the apes I'll take everything off except the indicator switch, then tie up the excess wires under the fuel tank. Love it.

Just bought the starter Module, Will buy either that Centech Ap-1 fuse box or one similar depending if I can find a good place to buy it from (anyone?).

5 fuses will probably be fine, the other one I'm looking at has 8.

Looks cool enough. Come to think of it I will probably buy that one.

May need some help later on down the track with what size amp fuse's I'll need to each thing,

A fuse for Headlight and tail light/brake light
A fuse for Indicators front and rear
A fuse from the Stator?
A fuse for the coil?
A fuse for the speedo?
Also a fuse for the horn, but this will be seperate from the fuse box, it will be an inline fuse as I'll be removing the horn later.

Can't wait to get into it!

Under the trans plate between the trans and the battery. Should be ok, haven;t ordered it yet, still need to measure, but work has been insane this week and I keep forgetting.

Total watts of each circut divided by volts "12" will give you the amps each circuit is pulling. Just go with fuses a few amps above your figures and they will do the job.

Aussie -
That Power Center 8 is too small.
5 and 10 amp fuses?
What are you wiring up - a slot car?
The terminal strips look too small also.

Great idea...use the wire to build your own. You only have a few items that need power. If you use the correct on/off switch you do not need a starter relay and everything else can be run off a single circuit breaker. I am just catching up on here but if you need help I am available to assist via skype or facetime.

The fuse box looks neat as.

Decided today fuck the Ultima harness, less wires = less problems, so the easy harness it is. Just need to find a flasher unit? A fuse box like Donovan posted and perhaps a relay for the starter motor.

Throw that thing in the trash. The vibration alone will kill that thing. Drop me a line or facetime me...you are seriously over thinking the wiring of this bike.

+1.... 5 wires and a 30 amp breaker is all I used with one of those black delrin key switches. I don't require any turn signals or any switches on the bars though.

Ok cheers for the heads up, Was looking at circuit breakers briefly a few days ago, would prefer manual ones though.

I'll pm you steelchoppin, as I'm in Australia.

One more question about Circuit Breakers.

I don't like the idea of it being automatic reset, as if there is a problem I want to be able to see the breaker being switched. I know you can get manual breakers so I'm trying to get them.

But if I were to get automatic ones, how would I test it if it was faulting? Would it show no power on one side of the terminals like a blown fuse would?

Also, anyone know a good site to buy 2 30's and 2 15's, all with their own holders? Ebay isn't helping me with the holders.
