I started reading this thread and almost choked reading that you were changing up the bike from the way Matt built it, but after seeing the end product I'm blown away. Top job, it looks killer!!
So was the bike registered when you go it, and if so what was it registered as? Seems to be soooo many Choppers with rego plates on them over East that couldn't even be close to legal or ADR compliant and I'd be interested to know how they're done (aside from the obvious rebirthing).

thanks guys !
skitzo/bullet/beastlightnbs/oldchrome : i loved the look of it the way Matty built it as well but it needed a birthday it had been ridden hard for 4 or so years and so it should of been lol those Denver front ends are shit man i had to play around with some inner springs that it never had so it wouldn't bounce of the ground in between 1st and 2nd gear changes and the flex in the wind on the freeway was making me a tad bit worried ! yes the bike was registered as individual construstion when i bought it , mat got the individual construction registration done in 2006 with a guy that used to own mayhem choppers ... it was a lot easier back then to do a rigid frame before they became popular most engineers don't wont anything to do with that style frame but from what i know a few mates have done it to there custom built choppers and it takes about 4 months from start to finish to get it passed by the engineer and then you have a small wait for vicroads (road authorities for our state) to issue you and send out your VIN numbers the cost is around $$2500 all up including a years registration !
thanks heaps for your killer comments guys !!!!

Nice renovated CFL!!! Hey, a couple of questions….what are the specs on the new front end (i.e. wide/narrow glide, degrees in trees, and length & diameter of forks)? Thanks, Alex

Hey lil vato, I too am building a CFL here in Oz. I can't believe the lil vato softy died an early death, I loved that bike man! It's my fave edition of HEAVY DUTY magazine with your softy and the Reservoir Hogs Springer. Anyway I think you have done an excellent job on the CFL you now have, looks great man.

Cheers Nelster, its issue 109 March 2010. It's got Cole Fosters CCI annaversary chopper on the cover and also has the Kid Rock bike featured. A very cool bunch of bikes.
My 4up is the newer type frame, it's only early days but I'm loving it and I've learned heaps of valuable info from this site.

Would like to see how you go with your engine and trans fitment as I had some issues there, You're putting a 127 in it? That thing will fly!
