Hard to believe everything is so strict for you guys, has it always been that way with getting vehicles registered?

Yeah for awhile, sucks because it limits how big and bad you can go with a chopper.

Thanks man, yeah those close up shots it looks almost black, then the full shot it looks pretty much full gold. So will be interesting to see it running down the road.
Ran the wiring through the frame today in my 2 spots, took me longer than I would have liked. I think most of it was getting my head around what the wires will be doing and what gauge to use. Fitted the seat just to get some motorvation. Not sure what I'll do now/next.
Thinking fit the motor and trans and sand back the powder coat on the mounts, then tap all my bolt holes. Will have to wait until tomorrow to do that though. Also have to wait till tomorrow to pack my neck bearings and put the front end together.
Just want to keep working on it.

It looks like you have the hard part done, running the wiring through the frame... I would suggest you finish all the electrical before you put in any of the heavy components. It will be hard to reach everything with the motor/trans in there or the front end on. When mine comes back from paint (late September-ish) thats what I plan to do; Bolt the voltage regulator and coils under the trans plate, run all the wires, connect the grounds to frame, plug in everything I can and leave the ends hanging or taped that attach to the big stuff. I'd do all of that that I can while I can still lay the frame down or flip it over while I need to. Just my suggestion.

Thanks dale, Yeah Cloud that's the plan, it's just yesterday I had nothing else to do and it was kind of annoying. And even today I forgot to bring my parts to work to modify for everything under the trans plate, so I'll hopefully do that tomorrow.
Any pics of how your voltage reg is mounted? I was thinking of just getting a long piece of sheet metal, and bolting that to the trans plate, then bolting the fuse holder and voltage reg to the sheet metal.
Oh and I don;t have to much wiring going through the frame, only about 8 or so wires I counted. then rest of the wiring I can do while major components are in.

Looks good man! Hey I'd wrap those terminals with some tape incase the screws come loose they won't arch against the frame.

Cheers Darin, Will do, I was trying to think about what I should do there, only thing I thought of was loctite the screws, but nah.
Today I got abit further with my fuse holder mess around, and also tried looking for a tap and die at work, I ended up using an M10 1.5, it fit, but is obviously wrong. So I'll take another bolt tomorrow and try find some imperial stuff.

careful using loctite on electrical terminals. too much and the plastic can insulate the screw from the terminal in a worst case. can get some electrical grease to kind of protect it. i usually use some shrink tubing big enough to cover the terminals to protect all that, and definitely want to use something to protect where they come through the frame. i usually just run shrink wrap over the whole harness just in case there are burrs inside the frame or anything. i hate having to troubleshoot electrical issues.
not sure if you used just touch up paint on those spots, but make sure it's something that will stick to raw metal unless you just used some black primer or something.
i usually mount the regulator up front under the engine to keep it out in the wind and cool. i guess under the tran would probably work too though as the air's running underneath the bike. i assume it clears so it's not the low hanging fruit that gets hit when you hop a curb?
