I'll check on the pricing for priority shipping to you. Spent the whole weekend moving so I wasn't on the computer.

By the way, please don't feel like I'm giving you shit about your bike. I love your bike, just want to make sure you get those welds done right.

myself and jsp were just saying to have a think about getting all the welded areas on your frame moulded before it goes to paint first reason is it looks a million times better and for all the hard work your putting into this chop i think you owe to yourself to get the best possible finish you can ! second reason is you can keep more weld around the bungs and not have to grind some of it away ! your bike is gonna be sick i reckon every little bit of detail counts !!

check out my build pics there are 1 or 2 pics of the frame before paint and you can see where my seat tabs have been mounted check out how smooth all the welded areas are on the frame !

I'll check it out, and yeah don't worry I think they look shit aswel, and I want everything to be perfect, will hopefully get it sorted when the tabs arrive thanks to TWOWHL, and take it to a proper welder thanks to El Skitzo.

In the mean time I'm going to get the frame tested next week, dude said it'll only take a day, just so I can cross another thing off my list.

From the pics he posted, looks like all you need to do is grind off that protruding left front side of the transmission plate so it's a flat straight edge front to rear???

Oh yeah, wow. Have a look at the top left point of the trans (near the engine, primary side) and see if the trans is hitting the trans plate. I have a few more pictures I don;t think I posted here... And I also looked back at the photos when I was having the problem and found the trans was sitting up, was hard to notice though because the inner primary covers it. I'll try find the pics.

Here's all the pics I have, The first one is before any grinding was done, and you can see the trans is NOT sitting flush, this is before the primary is bolted up too. Can't believe I missed it, as a few people told me to make sure EVERYTHING is sitting flat, even guys on here too probably.

Anyway, I guess lesson learnt.

Yep, that's exactly what needs to be done, Mine is hard to notice but the tranny does sit up just a tiny bit at the top left corner of the plate, just enough to sit the inner primary up at the motor end and kick the bottom out a fraction. If I lift the back of the tranny- the inner primary seems to line up and my problem bolting it up is identical to yours. There's no way I can move it to the right at all or sit it down 100% flush.
As soon as it happened I knew exactly what it was- only due to following this thread.
It's got me thinking though, is it a common thing with the CFL? I've seen another frame on ebay that had a tranny plate nowhere near as wide as ours in the top left corner.

Yours is also a CCI frame right? That picture you posted is a OG, pretty sure there is another CCI build frame on this site and he doesn;t seem to be having problems.

My guess is it's a CCI problem, although I think it was JSP that said his OG CFL had a problem with the tranny plate..

thats just shimming mate .. if you grind the other side you will just have a gap on both sides .. the primary is holding it up.

Looks like Daytech just uses a different trans plate than wcc. In addition to a different oil bag mount. Good info here, Its To bad Aussiechop was the ginnipig to have to find it out. And no that's not just shimming mate, that trans plate needs to be cut straight.

Yeah it's sitting way too high. Once mine was ground down pretty much everything was sitting dead flat, apart from the loner 5th stud on the trans. I'll probably E-mail Mike @ MMW and just let him know in case others have the same problem, may also let Daytech know too.

I guess it's still a good learning experience.
