Starter & battery for S&S 113 ci

Hi there,
Just bought a S&S 113 CI engine with no compression releases.
What is the best starter and battery (that fit in the cfl tray) to go with the 113?

It's replacing an original Evo engine with original starter.

Thanks.

WCC uses Yuasa YTX20BS batteries. As far as starter motors, the names I see get tossed around on here the most are either Spyke (1.4kW or 1.8kW), or All Balls.

Yuasa YTX20BS and All Balls 1.4 kW on my S&S 113 is PERFECT. Started right up the first time and can go weeks without charging. PLEASE trust me. My last 2 chops had a million starter issues. Just put your order in today and sleep well tonight.

Using the same battery as others have named here..... 310 CCA Yuasa with a Terry 1.8kw starter and no releases.....no problems.

So S&S offers heads with and without compression releases? I thought they used the electric solenoid operated compression releases located in the "hole" at the center of the rocker cover for all their larger engines. That's interesting.

Used a Braille with a Spyke 1.4kw starter on my S&S 113"....... Braille has all sizes of batteries to fit your application........ I think I went with the Braille B2015 without looking at my bike...... Makes 2-3 spins of the starter and cranks right up!!!
