That is NOT the order. The trans doesnt get tightened until everything is shimmed. thats if they are needed. motor, motor plate and trans get tightened so its one large mass laying on flat surfaces. then start tightening motor front to back while checking with a feeler gauge under trans plate to see if its out of whack. if you can not see any air space under trans plate and the whole thing doesnt rock around when its still loose then you may be ok. theres a lot more but thats basic. sorry if this was already mentioned i didnt get all the way through the thread yet.

Also, since your up to this point a good investment is one of those alignment lasers. I have one and its very handy to have. It shoots a beam across all of your sprockets or chain whichever you are using for an alignment guide. Also with the rear wheel lifted up off of the table you can put the rear wheel and caliper bracket on without any spacers and then move it side to side to locate the rear wheel in the center position, i mark the tire and the frame centers with magic marker(frame) and metal marker (tire). then just simply measure for the correct axle spacers, after that you can use a 5 hole shim for the sprocket if it needs to go out, thats where the "laser" comes in. "YEAH BABY!"

I bought my fender from WCC about 3 weeks ago when they were having their sale. The model is a 9 inch two-eight fender. I didnt do anything to the fender to change its shape. I added a few internal struts and thats it. I ran some 3/8 hose over the tire, pushed the fender down onto the hose, held the bung where I thought it should go, traced it on the fender, Unibit a 3/8 hole and deburr.

The battery I had and starter was just too small, so make sure they work and are big enough for the 107.

Any word on them hand controls yet??? just wondering Looking good BZP
I sent you a pm a few days ago telling you I missed the swapmeet. I'm pretty sure I'll be at the next one.

Where did you have the rear wheel positioned?

I'm sure it was centered left to right, but where was your axle front to back?

With the axle all the way foward in the slider, all the way back, or in the middle?

its as far forward as possible without flipping the axle tabs to face the other way. Its also a snug fit when a battery is in.

That's always been a question,.......which way the tabs go.

It's been agreed that they could go either way so I was thinking I would face the tabs back when first mounting the fender,.......and installing the chain,......putting the axle as far foward as possible,.....then as the chain stretches, the axle could be adjusted back to center.

Then if even more travel is needed, the tabs can be switched around to face the front, and give even more room for adjustment.

i agree. but in my case I cant move my fender anymore forward than where its at. it will hit the battery. So me switching the tabs wouldnt make any sense because the tire would rub on the fender

Yep,....I have the battery box/oil tank combo so I have more room in front of the rear fender.

I also have a more "full coverage" rear fender so,......I have to mount it where even when the tire is all the way back, with the chain stretched,.....it doesn't get close to the "rear" of the fender.

What you guys using for your crankcase breathers when an aftermarket air cleaner is used? is there a specific brand that is superior to the others?

I have a set of Joker Machine breathers, kinda like a little beehive shape. theres a picture in my profile that shows them with the WCC aircleaner. They sort of make a mess to be honest with ya, but oh well.
