knock off

Beware 'fake' Iron crosses welded into tanks and fenders, the fakes are a square piece of brass with the Iron Cross just half-assed stamped in, the real deal if a fully cut out Iron Cross.
Not that I care, if I saw a real Villian tank it would go for at least $1200, I won't pay that much for a f*ckin gas tank... I don't care WHO makes it.

Ok, I'll correct you. You probably won't be finding a genuine WCC shop built Villain tank, period. Each one made at the shop was most likely put on a shop built bike, and the few that were made for customers were purchased and used for a build of some sort.

The Custom Chrome Villains "are" not knock offs, they are licenced, manufactured tanks, made in either Mexico or Taiwan, for Jesse James. Just like all the fenders that were built, packaged and sold by Custom Chrome,......

Your thoughts on the tags on the inside of the fenders is wrong, too. The parts made at the shop, had tacked on tags that were shaped like the actual WCC cross logo, and were steel or brass. The Custom Chrome fenders had the brass square tag tacked on the inside, which had the logo stamped into it.

The last clue on where your fenders and tanks came from is,.... any shop built parts came in brown boxes with WCC and JJ logos and addresses printed all over them. The Custom Chrome parts came in white boxes, also with JJ logos,.......but no Long Beach addresses on them,.......but instead had "made in Mexico" or "Taiwan" on the box.

"Knock offs", to me are parts made to resemble WCC products, that were not made by WCC, or licenced by WCC or JJ.

No,..of course they are not knock offs,.........and for the same reasons I mentioned before.

They're made by Daytech, distributed by Custom Chrome, for Jesse James. He ironed out the agreement,...deal if you want to call it,.......and it was done. You think Jesse isn't making any money on those frames? With his trademarked logos all over them and the ads for them.

They're not similar copies,.....those "are" CFL frames, made with the same jigs, and specs given or sold by Jesse to Daytech.
