First Chopper Build - CFL 2up
So i picked up a 2006 CFL 2up frame on good ole Ebay a little while back. I'm pretty much a sport bike turned Harley guy so there's a solid learning curve. Any general tips or ideas will be appreciated. I plan to update regularly! (as regularly as i progress the bike).

Biggest piece of advice I can give you is to have a really good idea of the look you're going for. All builds evolve a little bit as they progress, but the more you're settled on what you want the finished bike to look like, the less your chances of having bought the wrong parts and having to resell them at a loss to get the right ones.
Also, spend lots of time browsing and searching this forum. Lots of guys have run into any problems you might encounter, and they may have already been answered. If you can't find what you're looking for, don't hesitate to ask.

Yup! it's the Indiana frame.
Looking to go new school. There are only a few CFLs with tear drop tanks, and a lot of flow. Finding the right tank is really my current holdup.

Best advice I can give is build it to your vision, not to your limitations. Plenty of guys on here that can help with everything you may not know.

Anyone have tank suggestions for this 2-up? Not really wanting to go peanut style.

Villain tank is too long for a 2-up frame from what I understand. Sean at Metal Shop Customs makes a bunch of different WCC-style tanks. He could probably make a scaled down Villain if you wanted. Or one of any number of other tank styles (Kid Rock, Penny Saved, Angry Frisco, etc.). I've bought two tanks from him, both were top-notch.

Villain tank will barely fit. Well, after I get tree stops. Apparently I have none currently and it will turn all the way to the frame/tank.

I don't know if Perse trees work any differently from other trees, but this is what most guys run on CFL frames:
