frame help
building a softail chopper and not real good with the math part so asking advise on my two choices of frames for my build.
1st frame with 34° rake,
4” stretch downtubes, 24.5” backbone. using 5 degree raked triple trees.
or 2nd frame with 38° rake,
4” stretch downtubes, 24-1/2” backbone. using 3 degree raked triple trees
total rake can not be more then 42 degree to pass iowa dot so can title it.
apprecaite any pics of similar or advise or suggestions on theabove two builds which is the better. plan on using 18" rear and 21" front. 41mm front end.
thanks
i really love the look and feel of the american ironhorse texas chopper but i want to build my own as close to that look and feel with it being a copy.

Just looking at the numbers I'm guessing the first will possibly reduce the trail to a negative value. I'd draw it out to dimension-or have someone do it for you-and do the trig to figure the trail before buying anything.

Better handling bike with the 38 and 3 degree trees.

Sorry, I didn't have enough coffee this am before posting.......I screwed up my first post..........the first frame tree combo will possibly give you a negative trail.

The 38 dgree frame with 3 degrees will have the better trail numbers. Plus once it's inspected if you ever want to inrease the tree rake you can.
