If your whole purpose is to see if the filter is too restrictive, And you remove the element, what are you going to compare it to?

Of course it's going to flow better with no element.

Not for the one I have.. According to them (Perf Form) IT works with Big Twin and Twin Cam..

I asked them specifically for EVO's "I am not sure on that??" That answer suprised me.. I am not too worried about it now.. If the oil flows better with the stock HD Filter I will just run that and not worry about the cooler.

Here is a picture of the installation diagram.. Everytime I do this I have to take the nut plate off and I don't have any tools big enough so I have to borrow channel locks from my dad in law

How is that going to give you a comparison between the two filters?

keep in mind, there is probably nothing wrong with your set up.

Maybe it is a little too restrictive. maybe it's not.

Anyway, what you're about to do is far from a scientific experiment.

However, if there is a noticable difference in the two, you know what you have to do.

If there is no difference, at least you can feel better about keeping the cooler thingy on.

Correct Frank .. This is as close as to I will ever get to a scientific experiment other than making explosives..

I will feel very much better leaving the "THINGY" on. Then I can ride again and be very happy.. I recieved my License Plate today.. IBLT1 what you think.

One thing I will say, If there is something that is bothering me on a bike I'm riding, whether it's real or imagined, It makes for a very uneasy and somewhat tense ride for me.
