Ultima Fat Bastard
Hey all,
I just finished a Redneck Mutant Buell build and had a blast building it.I'm ready to do another bike so I ordered an Ultima Fat Bastard kit with a 96 inch mill.Anyone ever built one of these kits?
Any advice or problems that I should know about?

Fat Bastard
I am currently building a Fat Bastard with an Ultima 113. I got it a couple weeks ago and mocked up all that I could but am still short some backordered parts. I now have the fame powdercoated and it looks great. I did not like the gap between the seat and tank nor how the front tank brackets hung so far down so I cut them off and am rewelding the front brackets back on only shorter and I fabricated a piece to fill in part of the gas tank concave area near the seat which I will weld on and mold in. A few things do not fit quite right but all in all I am pleased with the kit.
I bought some polished rotors and different grips off ebay and need to add a speedo to please the state. I ma still think about what to do for an oil cooler.
Good luck!
I have an 03 96ci the only problem I have ever had is the battery shot craps 11mos after the build, they replaced it for free. I am now building a pro-street 6"in the backbone 0 up 42 degrees in the neck, I like the ultima motor so much it will get one.

Man...I'm really glad you guys replied.I was beginning to think that I was the only one who is doing this kit.I got my kit in today
minus a few back ordered parts.I started opening a few of the boxes...can't help but think "man this is a lot of fucking pieces!!!!!!!" I promised a bro that I would help him put a blower on his bike this weekend after that its all fat bastard time.I'll
post an update as soon as I get the build going.

Finished!!!!!!!!!
Well I just finished up the bike tonight. The build went pretty good but still had the usual fitment problems and some missing parts I had to buy but all in all not too bad.The paint job I did is a little differant.I'm sure some will hate it and some will like it.Its blue on one side and green on the other with a pearl blue over white zig zag seperating them.If your building a Fat Bastard and have any questions feel free to PM me.I will help as much as I can.

Madian Voyage
Well...I have been out riding my new scoot from the time I got home from work until about 5 minutes ago. I must say that the bike runs and rides awsome. The 96 inch Ultima has plenty of power and has plenty of torque down low. Only thing I had to
fix was a leaky derby cover.I'm just happy as a pig in shit!

tank
Any body out there have a 03 sporty tank ( or the same size) that year and possably others are a little longer. I put one(not mine) on my 200 fat bastard frame with a springer an like the fit . any longer and it would hit the springer but it still fills the frame all the way to the Y at the seat post. oh hey bigsteak I have a 4 over springer on a 2 up 200 fat bastard and it looks good! the 250 is a 4 up with a 6 over (tube type) and 5 deg. trees the frames are the same rake and length but just differant back tire sections. Ill try and post a photo of the springer soon.

I love this shit! we are only limited by our imagination.
Hey guys,
I recently bought a 03 ultina fat bastard. I test rode it and then brought it home. Put on lift and had tired replaced. After 3 weeks of looking for a missing spacer, tire shop called Friday and found it... in struggling trying figure out placement of the 3 spacers. Tire is aligned 1/2 off center. But if I rearrange spacer the brake mount does seem to ride in worn area.
Please advise
