It's already in the works Hugh. You guys will be the first to see it once I'm sure it will work.

I've seen it done once before, but not on a mutant frame. Just need to fab a lever and pivot to the bottom rail behind the tranny and link it to the stock shift lever. It should clear with the right bends, but it might be too sketchy for my frame dimensions.

Hey Iron,

I did a dry run on the drill process we talked about on the phone the other night and it looks like it's going to work like a charm. Give a week or so and I'll have some pics up for you.

Later,
Justin @ Two-Bit Choppers

Cool! Can't wait to see what yer up to next. FINALLY got my risers in tonight- OMFG they are nice- took 4 ever to get but beautiful! I packed up the video cam so i can't post pics for a few weeks. Gonna stop by the chop shop in the morning and order my final parts like cables and plumbing and a few odds and ends. I'm really trying hard to come up w/ a different paint scheme for the red wheels than black- but it just feels so right. I thought about greys or a mat irridescent green but still torn. gotta act fast and get it to powder asap. Two of my Lt.s are sponsoring the build now. One gave me the check for 1000 and the other is going to pay for all the chrome till I get back to work. How F'n cool is that?!!!

Hey Iron,

Good to hear your build is back on the rails! Good friends are a blessing in every sense of the word, and it sounds like your are worth their weight in gold! What did you do to your back???

Man it's hard for me to picture your bike finished in any other color than black. A battleship gray might be nice too though, with some good black and red pinstriping!

I'll be in touch soon!

I fubar'd the back pickin bodies up off the highway two weeks ago. There was a headon 60mph car vs harley w/ two dead riders and two injured from the car and a car explosion/fire during rushhour in a construction zone in a torential downpour, there was almost no visibility because of the rain, we were under-staffed on all of our engines and started moving bodies as fast as we could to get everyone out of the road and out of the rain and I felt sometihng POP when I grabbed one of the heavies. I figured I was pretty indestructible untill this and now I can't bend down to pull my pants on. I used to deadlift nearly 500 lbs and squat more than that! I'm still waiting on my my MRI results to get treatment prescribed. I haven;t even gotten any decent feelgoog drugs out of this yet. The medical system blows goat balls!

Now that is a story you don't hear every day...Well hopefully it's nothing major, or else you're going to have to ship your rigid out here for me to ride to keep the rust off it! Just kidding, get well soon, and finish that bike damnit - it's almost officially summer.

Later,
Justin @ Two-Bit Choppers
