Nasty Bikes has recently started selling a belt drive for Sporty/Buell engines. However it is a bit high at $3995!

http://nastybikes.com/primary_belt_drive.htm

This is the only "open" primary drive I've seen for Evo 1200/883.

Holy Shit, $3995 for an open belt primary!?!? I have to admit I don't usually check the Nasty Bikes site, but I did see a preview glimpse of that drive a while back, and I'd be hard pressed to drop that kind of coin on one for what's there.
The biggest problem with setting an open primary up on a XL/Buell application is that the tranny isn't sealed off from the primary, so not only would you have to engineer a functional belt drive, but you'd have to provide some way to seal the tranny off as well. Believe me we've pondered the logistics and it's a nightmare.

Later,
