Redneck Mutant Curves
All right guys,
I promised I would be the first one to bring you the news, and Frede out at Redneck finally gave me the green light and permission from Vince to put a picture of the much anticipated Redneck Mutant Curves chassis up here on Club Chopper.
Details are a little sketchy still, like I don't know if the stock Buell front will work at all, from the looks of this pic probably not (too short), but here's what I do know - $6500 gets you the frame, hand made tank, hand made rear fender/ oil bag combo, motor mounts, seat pan, battery tray, hidden fork stops, handlebars and axle covers. Obviously any evo XL based motor will mount up (1986-2003 Sportster or 1996-2002 Buell) in this chassis.
I'll post more information as it becomes availalbe and we should have all the specs and be taking orders for this exciting new custom Sporty alternative at www.twobitchoppers.com by the end of the week. If you've got any questions feel free to ask here and I'll do my best to answer.
Thanks again to Redneck Engineering for letting us bring this exclusive peek to Club Chopper.

Spaz,
Sorry it took me soo long to reply, but I've been shaking Redneck for information and details are getting clearer. Obviously this build they're working on is using more rake and a longer front end than the original Mutant Buell design like mine, but they offer this new frame in the old specs so using the Buell parts isn't out of the question. This frame build is using a 280 tire, but again this is another case where the old 180/200 or 250 options are open. Based on what I know now, I'm thinking a guy could get away with building one of these using the Buell front end and wheels for starting around $8-$9K plus the donor Buell. Of course you could get more elaborate and end up with a bigger budget, as I'm sure the bike in the picture would push 20 grand in total investment to build by the time you factor in wheels, forks, as wells as controls, the donor, the chassis kit and all the other odds and ends. Still pretty good for a one-off attention getter though. Let me know if you've got any other questions.
Later,
Justin @ Two-Bit Choppers

No problem Spaz,
Like I said getting word out of the Redneck crew takes a while. Kind of funny that Frede (salesman) out there knows me by voice at this point as much as I call him for info and updates on orders. Let me know if you've got any more questions.

Yeah this frame is hot--If you like this style bike. I posted a picture of this chasis on chopper forums like 2 months ago---they want like crazy dollars for this gastank and rear fender with the oil bag built in but Im sure the finish product is nice for sure. Get some prices up here on the chasis kit...

$6500 get you basically everything that comes in the standard original Mutant frame and body kit, but also includes RE handlebars.

Don't have a frame, tin breakdown on the Curves, so I'm not sure there. Oil tank is built in to the rear fender, and yes the $6500 is for the full kit I oultlined above.
