Rigid Shovelhead Rims - Chrome vs. Aluminum

My old 1948 rigid Harley-Davidson needs some new rims. Looking for spoke rims, same dimensions, 40 spokes - front 2.15 x 18 and rear 3.5 x 16.

I was looking in the internet and also Custom Chrome etc., also talked to the H-D dealer, but seems to be a bit of a special size of the front wheel.
There's some rims on eBay etc. for very low price, but I'm not sure about the quality of these rims.

Anyone has an idea where to get good quality rims in dimensions mentioned?

And what would you do? Go for polished aluminum or chrome?

When you find them, i would definitely go for the chrome, especially riding an old Harley, Any
oily aluminum is very difficult to keep polished, especially spoke rims..Chrome you can keep clean and shiny with an occasional Diesel bath..Powder coat gloss black is a knock out also . Got a picture of your Pan?
