question about coils

2003 aih, legend.. looking to replace coil testing bad it is 2.89 ohm coil im having trouble finding a coil with 2.89 ohm can you use 3.00 ohm or 5 ohm ? dual fire coil.. it has a compufire elite 1 ignition.. thx

Probably..I wouldn't necessarily just go by an ohms test...Hook the coil to 12volts and then scratch to ground, ...that's all the module is doing anyway..... if it gives a nice hot spark then it is ok..One or two ohms one way or another
most times doesn't mean anything...

check your coils should have a number on it. my uncle bought a rigid, 80 evo 6 speed 2x5ohm coils 0.0 he blew an ignition.

definitely make sure you run the right coils.
