I have a really crazy question. Where did that rear view mirror come from? I have a similar handlebar config and need a mirror to keep the cops off my ass.

Didn't even know about that! That would be awesome. I'm moving this weekend so I don't think I'll have a break.
I have about a thousand miles on it, haven't ridden in a while since we're in between at an apartment.
But I will be resuming my riding to work in El Segundo shortly!

Here's a couple new pictures. New seat made by BAR enterprises. I made that crown key box with a die grinder and had it brass plated. I think it came out pretty slick.

Drive train info

New to the board but wanted to throw in some info I found. I am buying an SPS roller soon and have been looking for drivetrain packages. I found this:

I don't know anything about it and any input would be greatly appreciated.

Karl...Sweet ride!

I'm in the process of mock up of a SPS 66 style kit and wanted to ask you if you had some pics of the oil bag mount that you did. Did yours come with brackets that fit or did you have to make something up yourself? The clearance and position that the front bracket puts the tank look real close to me and I didn't get anything for the rear mount.

This is my first post, just found this forum tonight. Thanks for any info you can give!

WDM,
I just went through the exact same issue with my 66. Give Rachel a call in scottsdale. You need the rear mount, which should have come with your roller. It is a black powdercoated bracket. I was missing my front mount and the rubber mounts for the rear, but had the bracket. She'll take care of you. Good luck and keep in touch with your build--I'm still scratching my head in mock up!

BTW, which drivetrain are you going with for your 66? With S&S out of my budget I'm floundering between an 80" stocker or a 100" ultima--any thoughts? Thanks!

66Bobber...thanks for the reply. I'm up in Canada and have had stuff that was missing on the first shipment take weeks to get to me, you got a pic? it might be faster for me to just make something up so I can continue my build.

I'm in the same boat with drive train...80" EVO, BDL 3" primary and Ultima 6 Speed. I have been talking with some builders around here that have used the Ultima engine in the past and say it took four of them in the same bike to finaly decide to scrap the idea and go back th a HD mill. Myself I have never seen the Ultima engines in anything but they made me happy with the choice I made.

Hope that helps, Bill

I'm having trouble uploading, so I stuck a pic of that bracket in my gallery. Hope it helps.

Hey '66 - yes I just used the parts with the oil tank that I got from Sucker Punch, no fab needed, including the bracket WDM posted. Let me know if you need more details
