Hmmm.... thinking about going down another track. Theres a 08 Saxon Sceptre for sale on gumtree

Custom Chopper | Motorcycles & Scooters | Gumtree Forrestdale

Realistically Id like to change the wheels (same size rear as I think the 260 rear is wide enough and a 23 inch-er for the front), pulleys and rotors ($4.5k), Inverted front ($1.2k), new paint job and frame powdercoat (cost??) and do some mods to the rear fender (frenched in rear tail light) and indicators. I could also change the hand controls and indicators which I could easily do at a later stage. The rest Id leave as-is.

So I could easily have a running bike for well under $30k (I dont think Id pay $21.5k as advertised for the bike anyway) and the works would be a lot easier as Im not bad with the tools but a newbie when coming to bikes with the massive bonus I wont have to go through all the ADRs for and ICV. It will also pretty much be the kind of bike that I wanted

Suggestions/Comments?

Steve
And Dazz- lol at ur computer skills mate! But the effort is much appreciated!

Not opposed to interstate, its just that those bikes arent exactly what I am after so Ill end up spending a bit making those mods, and in the end I think Ill still have to pass the pits here in WA.

If Im gonna go the godfather route, Ill probably end up building from scratch.

Plus the saxon is registered so should be way easier to make the mods legally as an '08 registered bike rather than a '12 rego'd bike. Well thats what I think at least
