I started with all the fabrication and welding first, trim and fit the tank mounts, drill and fit the rear fender, tack the seat spring mounts. Mount the motor and tranny, then position your exhaust, trim, fit , and tack your exhaust mount tabs. Decide where you want to put your Thunder Heart MHC, I fab'd a SS bracket and mounted it in between the tranny and rear fender. If you are going to hide you wiring, I drilled the seat post and backbone to run the harness up under the tank. I also drilled to run the wiring for the brake/license lights to the left side rear. I didn't bother with blinkers, not required in WA. The wiring from under the tank goes to the controls, I drilled my drag bars. The ignition wires will stop and connect from under the tank. Always measure twice, because you only drill or cut once and that is it, one less thing to have to deal with "corrections." Sooner or later you'll just have to "go for it" and start…Good Luck

Oh, of course for the rear fender you will need to have your backordered rim, then mount your tire. Don't forget to set up your spacers, front & rear and center both tires. Position the rear tire, then drill, trim, and fit your rear fender...
