Try using the search option and look for SMW and Godfather. SMW has built a good reputation for great service and doing right by their customers. The Godfather has been the more popular of the kits that they offer or atleast that I've heard about. If you have some wrenching experience the kit should be relatively easy to assemble (within reason). I have heard of members upgrading the shocks that SMW provides as they aren't the best in the world. All in all a good price at around 14k if this is the type of bike you are looking for. Randy is a cool guy and has posted here on the forum before. --Drew

I've heard nothing but good things about Southern Motorcycle Works and there are several guys on the site that have built that kit. You could probably save some cash if you bought the parts yourself though (Scooters sells all of it)...Kraftech "curved dagger" frame and wildcard tanks and fenders...then you pick your drive train. I dont know for a fact that you could save alot of money, just another option for you...

Now..i have a Kraftech curved dagger frame (VERY well built!) +5 in the back bone, -2 in the downtubes and 38* rake with 3* trees, 300mm rsd. 96" S&S, enclosed primary, accessories unlimited 6spd, meanstreet frontend and spoked wheels. I love the bike and it handles pretty well for what it is, but it rides like a rigid with the big ass/heavy back tire...your just not gonna get a 300mm back tire bike to handle like a sport bike lol... If i had it to do over, i probably wouldn't go bigger than a 250mm rear and would bump my motor up to an S&S 113. As far as the style of the bike, its exactly what i wanted and i'm really pleased with it.

Here are some vids of A Godfather built by Iron Hawg Custom Cycles.

I can't speak for SMW's kit bikes but I did buy a 127 built by them and I have not had 1 issue with it so far other than it wants to put your ass on the rear fender when u twist on it! This is with about 800+ miles of riding.

Also, i spoke to Randy on the phone when i ordered my motor and he is great to deal with. SMW will definitely get my business in the future.

My last build was loosely based on the Godfather and I agree with each of the previously posted comments, in particular the favorable comments about Randy and SMW.

I have a few photos posted to my gallery.

Noone mentioned ont the most importnat part about the SMW bike is that it comes tiled as SMW is a licensed MFG. THat alone is worth at lease 2K

What does that mean Wicked? ... it already has a Vin#? Are they NADA listed too? where insurance companies recognise them as a MFG...like Harley and easily insured through any company? >>.i'm seriously asking, not being sarcastic LOL. My insurance on my chop is nearly $1K a year, where as my NADA listed Harley is about $300

Now, getting a special const title for mine was a breeze (where i live)...made the appointment for DMV inspection, no issues, went to the courthouse and got a tag.

Not sure about this and think it really depends on the state here where I am in Floriday as long as I have all MSO's and receipts they don't give a shit.
