Weird constant alarm sound?
I got a custom build with an S&S SB100 engine a couple months ago - took it to my local wrench and had carbs rebuilt and general service done ( oil change, new battery, etc.).
Weather isn't conducive to actually riding it here in the frozen tundra, so it's on a trickle charger and I start it every week or two and let it run for at least 15 minutes to warm up - but I'm getting a weird "EEEEEEEEEEEE" alarm sound when the key is turned on - and that sound persists the entire time it's running until I turn the key off.
I would guess it's a low oil pressure alarm, but that just got changed.
Any clue what could be the root of the alarm sound?!

What do you mean ' alarm'?. Can you locate where the sound comes from? Sounds mechanical , air or like electric humming? Did it do it before, when you just got the bike? Do you have the sound with ignition on, but without engine running?

Loud electronic beeeeeeeep - starts when turning the ignition on, before even firing up the engine - doesn’t stop the entire time.
Got the bike two months ago and was fine until two weeks ago, when this started...
Seems to be coming from the rear of the engine, or the transmission.
Weird!

Definitely electric, like a resistance humming, like some component under straining electric load.
Yep. Turning the circuits off on by one might give an idea where the culprit it[granted you know your electric system]
an example of normal 'eeee' sound: You might hear that briefly when starter strains to fire up very big+ cold engine- till it turns. But not otherwise.
I hate to hear it.

Problem solved, and can’t believe it...
The horn button sticks!
The horn on this bike - like most bikes - is honestly pretty anemic...
Face it, horns on bikes are next to useless - especially when the button sticks and that’s not what you’re expecting.
Ok, hanging my head now, but wanted to close the loop on this.
