Wiring a new chopper
Does anyone know any good videos or images/diagrams of how to wire a new chopper?

Above is a link to our chopper harness instructions. Here's our harness. All components are USA made and the old school circuit breakers and starter relay are the most reliable way to wire your bike.

When you say new, is this something that you are building yourself from scratch?....and do you wish to make it simple..eliminating things like handle bar push buttons, blinker modules, etc? If you want to make it bare bones like my Shovel, then it would be simple to draw, and wire one circuit at a time.. few wires...

Yes I am wiring from scratch (no turn signal or buttons just a headlight and tail lite). Got it pretty much all figured out (I HOPE!!). I ordered a harness from Scooters Performance. My S&S engine also has an IST ignition with a bunch of wires so I am sure this will be fun!

Cool. are you going to be able to get any wires through the frame?

I make very simple harness with a 30 amp main fuse and three 15 amp fuses: Ignition[+instrument lights], front[headlight] and rear[tail, brake].
If necessary- i can expend the accessory circuits with additional loads- which is unlikely for my bare bones choppers/bobbers:
No turn signals, speedometer etc.
I locate everything closer to the battery/starter which makes wiring shorter.
No starter relay, but the ignition switch rated 30 amp with starter function- also situated closer to the starter/battery.
Very thick- finger thick battery cables.
I don't run wires inside the frame, but try to neatly tack them by the frame. Easy to trouble shoot later[ or replace]. I use black wires marking their ends with small colored wire ties to see what is what.
here's a kidney tool box serves as an electric box.

When I was making the shovel frame I ran one long HOT
wire from front to rear, with a tap in the middle, inside the frame ..no telling what you would run into with a store bought..
