Turn signals
Hi all. New chopper owner, but not new bike owner. I might be in a bit of a pickle. I acquired a chopper that does not have front or rear turn signals.
It's not tagged yet. It's titled as a custom/homebuilt and don't know if turn signals are required. (Could check with a local inspection station. Figured I'd post the questions here first.)
Does anyone have knowledge of Maryland inspection laws? Are signals required on custom/homebuilt motorcycles?
If they are required, I would like mini LED turn signals for the rear. Anyone have pictures of their mini turn signals on their chopper that they can post or PM me?
Thank you for any and all help...

The problem is that 99% of the lights you see will require a hole or bracket which is usually installed while the bike is being built. Here is an led strip that you could use.
I did this on my street bike, and mounted them below the seat, on the rear and below the trees on the front. Of course it's all in what you like..

I actually used an l.e.d strip and braided leather around each l.e.d. It looks great, and you can wrap it around the forks.

I was looking at Z-Flex for my Deuce. I'm swapping out the rear fender, doing away with stock light and the Z-Flex LED strip looks like it might be the way to go.

Here's a rear pic of the chopper.

If the lights are needed to pass inspection, do you plan on keeping them after inspection?
The same thing is required here in this shit hole we call California but bikes pass everyday with out them.
There are company's that do licensing of vehicles (not AAA) maybe check around for one in your area.

If they are required and I've taken the time to hide the wires inside the frame, etc., then yes, I'm keeping the lights.

I don't know how tough they are in your state. My buddy took his bike for inspection before it was completed. He had a couple turn signal lights in a box and had a couple mounted poorly to the front end, it passed, nothing on the bike was wired.
I would look around your area for a registration/licensing business in your area and see if they can help,
