springer front end-fender

As anyone seen a springer front end with a fender on it? I don't know if it would look dumb seeing the fender would have to be raised for clearance. If so any pics would be appreciated.

You can look at any stock FXSTS setup. The use a linkage to get the fender closer to the wheel.

I trust the Harley installations, but some aftermarket springers fender installations can allow a catastrophic interference to occur if you bottom out. The fender gets caught by the wheel and guess what happens. If you leave it off you're playing it safe. Clearance and mounting properly is essential.

Skip the fender, aftermarket springer with a fender just looks wrong. Stock HD looks o.k. I'd even toss the fender off that, if I had one.

It has to be done right so that the fender does not move with the rockers, in other words has to attach to the axle. Bourget has a nice setup on there springers as far as fenders go, personally i like it without though.

had one on my 07 bbc merc.. 18" over custom springer , I think the mounts were on the rear legs of the springer , never had a problem ... also paughco offers custom springers with fender mount tabs .

Try a bandanna tied across the rear legs. Keeps the rain off....mostly.

clspht, thanks for the links. I did run into the one Kodlin blue bike searching. I like the looks of the other set up by him but I can't find pricing or where to purchase from. Still in the research.

Has that bike been built? Looks like a computer drawing. Looks like what a teenager would come up with in art class. The rear hung swingarm is silly (stick the part that needs to be most rigid to a place where it would be the most flexible). The rear suspension clearance doesn't exist. The worse part would be the front end flop.
