oil leak

I have a 2011 limited & my buddy has a 2012 ultra. We rode over 1100 mile this passed weekend to Maggie Valley & back from Ohio anyway we both noticed a couple of oil spots under our bikes not all the time but there twinkes and are not suppose to leak. When I got home and cleaned my bike i noticed alot of oil around the filter. Has anyone else had similar problems with new bikes like this?

Pretty much stuff in that area to leak, oil filter, oil pressure sending unit, crank sensor, stator wire, oil cooler(if you have one), I don't think I've ever seen a case half(or a base gasket) leaking on one of those that new but anything is possible. I would just clean everything off really well and keep my eye on it to see where it's coming from.

You'd leak too if you had that much compression.

Never had an issue with my TC leaking. Are both bikes accumulating oil at the filter?

Some cheaper filters have a fatter rolled edge on the filters and it hits the case as you tighten it up and it feels like its tight but its not crushing the seal,
