I agree, I always try to spend my money local(spend your money where you make your money), I'm lucky though, I have a great shop 2 minutes from me( Reading Cycles), I do have to drive 25 miles to the nearest dealership with a knowledgeable staff( Schaeffer's HD), and for my custom stuff I have a great relationship with American Classic Motors. Now, you will definitely get varying opinions here about ACM but I deal with them in person so I have a completely different perspective on them, for me, they have access to everything, they build and customize bikes at their shop so they can tell me what's been working or not working for them, but with the volume of internet sales they do it's hard to give that kind of personal service over the phone with a larger operation like theirs. As stated before, John at Scooters can offer the personal service if that's what you're after, but I really recommend trying to find someone local for a multitude of reasons(advice, returns, no shipping charges, etc.)

There is just no winning this one or getting useful information at this point because you all for some reason or another think I am up to something other than finding a good reliable source for new parts. All because I lightly challenge. what happened years back. So never mind...

You have been given a few options, and like I said, a Google search will bring up a ton more. I starting to go with Mako.

You mention how only one person, (actually 2) here mentioned buying from him and having a bad experience,............could it be it's because of all the previous complaints have kept most from using him?
I'm pretty sure I can say I'm the only one who has met and talked to Tom the German,.......before he moved his "shop" to Florida. He was here, in a town called Johnston RI. A town in which I still work. He had a hole in the wall shop, in the middle of a little strip mall, was quite full of himself then, thought he was the next great master bike builder, (although the only bike he had built, (assembled), was the dark silver bike with the dumb flip up computer screen built into the tank), which by the looks of things he hasn't sold in 15 years......and he came across looking like he thought he was God's gift to women.
He moved out of town,.....this shop went by the name of Demons North for a little while under new management, and the one in FL was Demons South. The shop up here has closed it's doors quickly, and it looks like he has just became a bigger middle man parts distributor,..working over the counter and on the phone like many independent shops then,...........to working primarily though the internet, now.
Bottom line is, his bad feedback, poor customer service, communication and shipping problems, and blackmailing practices,... speak for themselves.

Unfortunately around me there is only a HD dealership and some small indys who are gonna pick up a catalog or phone and do the same thing I can do, but for a few extra bucks. I wish I could walk into a place and build a relationship with a supplier for the parts I need.
I am sure there is gonna be mixed emotions on every single company out there. One guy feels fucked and the other thinks their great. But that's the shit you cant see on their websites.

thats why CC is the best place to check before spending bookoo bux on parts. I've bought parts there before but I always keep my fingers crossed until arrival day another one is Debrix, I got stuff from them super priced but again I always keep my fingers crossed. Biker garage 101 has always been good to me and at times they have some unbelievable prices especially motor parts. You have to know what you're looking at if you go there because sometimes they sell expensive stuff cheap not knowing what the hell they got.

It's all a crap shoot until you establish rapport with any individual or business, but places like this (CC) can give you a pretty good feel for what you are about to get into. One business mentioned earlier in this thread and I had a transaction which went south quickly and cost me a bunch in extra postage and shipping. If anyone asked me individually my impression of them, I would be frank and tell the truth, but that was only my circumstances and others obviously speak very positively about them. I guess my point here is that when you hear consistently negative feedback, it has to be based on something, and that should signal the alarm when thinking about dealing with them.

Jireh - Bad Customer Service
Yes,
I have purchased from this company, its parent COmpany Mid West Cycles, and Ultima are all linked together. Now i have purchased a Ultima 113" Complete Motor, Front end, and transmission. The motor had a failed design, but sine it did not break until after the second year, they will not warrenty it. SO i was forced to order the parts to reapir the entire motor. I ordered pistons, and they did not ship the rings, i called and was not allowed to talk to a manager until I forced the issue. Then the manager got online and had them order the rings, then the rings showed up missing a set. OK rings are listed as included with pistons, and then one ship one set. when all are 2 set. I did finnaly get the rings after 45 days and of working this. I had paid for FedEx charges and asked for them to refund the shipping cost, since it took soo long to get them, they ignored my reqest. I then ordered the enitre bottom end which added up to $1,400 and they sent me an email listing all parts were on hand and no issues. Two weeks later nothing had shipped yet, i called and they said items were n back order, and i asked how long, they could not answer. I asked for a manager, and once he got online he refused my shipping refund, and then cancelled my order because He claimed i was a rude and inconsiderate customer. I WILL NEVER BUY FROM THEM AGAIN, THEY HAVE NO QUALITY CONTROL, THEY DO NTO CARE ABOUT THE CUSTOMER AND THEY ARE NOT PROFESSIONAL. YES I want all individuals not to trust them, order from them, and do not do business with them. Lets show this company the end is here, and to get out the business because they do not appreciate the cusotmer.

I stopped by Demons shop in Pompano Beach Fl today and was treated like sh!t . I wanted to see and buy a tank, triple trees and fender for my project. The douche bag helping me (Frank maybe?) looked at me and his only reply was "we are an internet company, I dont know why you came here".....WTF? Anyways, I found here on the forum a chopper shop in Sanford Fl that I plan to call on for help and parts. Demons will never see a nickle from me!!!

we can warn all day long, but there's nothing like hands on.
I'm just sad to hear that you even considered patronizing them.

CUSTOMER SERVICE!!! Its become an oxymoron in our society. The problem with internet companies in generel is they want to make as much cash as they can without having to deal directly with the customer or their issues. If the day ever comes when doing buisness becomes a person to person relationship again (YEA RIGHT) we would all be better off. Until then, beware even the local shops in your areas, most have an attitude of plenty of customers why should I go out of my way for the one who has a complaint.

thats very true for usa businesses of all type. chinese companies are the total opposite, if they fuck up they will go overboard with apologies and fixing the problem. Maybe thats why they're kicking our ass?

im partial to jireh, but sometimes they're so out of stock on the items i need i gotta search ebay to find someone that is selling the same part at a more expensive price.
ck out crow custom cycles Helmets, Wheels Tires items in Crowe's Custom Cycles store on eBay! he buys directly from jireh and gave me a pretty good deal after a few kind words.
