Thumbs up 210/50-17 vs 200/50-17

my bike comes with a 210/50-17 rear and it just clears the belt but works fine. i currently run the metzler 880. this seems to be the only tire in that size that i can find in that size. I have noticed a great deal of tire in the 200/50-17 size and am wondering just how much difference the smaller size would make. Also if anyone could recommend a tire that size that may last a little longer.... I know most of the problem is in my wrist but these metzlers go quick. the one before last didnt even make 1,000 miles.

I'm almost positive that Metzeler does not make the 210/ 50 ZR 17 anymore. I had problems with the last 2 I put on my softail. They would split around the center circumference and then come apart. Ii switched to the Metzeler ME880 200/50 ZR 17. It's 10 millimeters narrower so less than a half inch.

i think ur right about that tire being discontinued. although there are some still available. i have been wearing the center inch and a half out way fast. what no tire shop has brought up, i just thought of it, is maybe the recommended tire pressure is the cause. I wonder if running less pressure would put more rubber down and not wear out so fast.... any ideas

I am pretty sure the 210 is gone but any 200 should fit fine......
