Ultima 6spd LSD and speedo problem

Hey I'm new to the forum but noticed there's alot of experience with Ultima trannys here. I just installed a new Ultima 6 speed left side drive in my lady's bike, a 96 heritage. Everything's good, the tranny shifts through all the gears smoothly and quietly. One issue, the speedo doesn't seem to be reading correctly. Toolin down the road at 60-70 mph and it's barely readin 50. It worked fine with the old 5speed. Anybody else had this issue?

(my only complaints with this tranny so far is that for some reason Ultima did not adjust the shifter pawl prior to buttoning up the shifter drum cover so I had to open it up and do it prior to installation)

Isn't there some sort of spacer you need to make it work right?
