Would like to also add that I can grab the primary spline and move it side to side a tiny bit.

Is this the norm for a brand new motor?

Could someone please respond

Pretty lovely that this is how American Classic motors treats disabled combat veterans

Please feel free to call Joseph Major at American classic motors at 610 754 8500 X 102 or just press 0 for the operator.

They might just send you through the phone loop of store hours and location over and over even no matter what button you push.

Get your $ back or if your stuck with it replace the valves ASAP! I've had 2 of my friends 100"
4x4 snap valves at the stem and destroy the piston. Both had less then 10,000 miles on them

I don't understand. This is supposed to be a brand new engine. Call Midwest or CC and ask for some help. They should be able to trace the serial number and tell you who the engine was sold to when it was new. If it was sold to AC, then it may be a warranty issue. If it was sold to another person not related to AC, then you can call the appropriate people. You say you are not getting the police or Ebay involved. That makes absolutely no sense. Use Ebay, Paypal, your credit card company, whatever to get your money back.

Sorry to hear this man. I have a Revtech 100 now and luckly have had no problems with it. Thats the problem with Ebay. Someone can just get on there and sell anything as new and get away with it. Thats why you have to spend the extra money for the square trade option that is insurance against this exact issue.

worst case is you get a rebuild from one of the numerous engine builders on this forum and probably have a better motor that it started out from when it was really new.

And after everything is said and done the person that shafted you will have to look over his shoulder for the rest of his days knowing he has someone that owes him one out there.....

Brand new Revtech 2012 motor with serious questions

I have spoken with Custom Chrome Brad from the tech dept.
Custom Chrome is also telling me that the new Revtech motors all come with the stator collar sticking out.

I also asked Custom Chrome how I was supposed to know what Cubic Inch motor They sent me? They never responded to that question.

Basically If you buy a brand new Revtech motor the only way to know what cubic inch motor you have is supposed to be which ever air cleaner they decide to put on the motor.

Not even the MSO I recieved has the size motor on it.

The only real way to know which motor they send you is to pull one of the heads off and measure the cyclinder bore.

I have been hauling bikes to various dealers all day today in LA and San Diego, Every Harley dealer and bike shop I spoke with today said they had never seen a motor with the stator collar sticking out like that and none of them had anything good to say about Revtech motors.

Custom Chrome is kind of flakey, I spoke with a tech guy the other day and gave him my information he said he would call me right back after speaking with the service team. That was at 930 Pacific time. The following day at 1030 Pacific time I emailed Brad and asked to please not leave me hanging. He finially called back.

I then tried reaching a woman at Custom Chrome who's name is Kelly. A person at Custom Chrome told me she was the highest person I could speak with, of course her phone went right to voicemail.
Never heard anything back from Custom Chrome.

I recived a email from Jospeh Major from American Classic motors Monday.
In the email Joseph Majors says to me that he will not engage in any fighting.

This guy Jospeh Major from American Classic motors is nutts. I never told the guy I was gonna fight anyone. All I ever did was raise valid questions about the motor I have spent $4259 dollars on.

pay a crack head to take a bat to some cars out in the parking lot. about the 3rd day you call and they dont help you, they will start to figure out you someone who is not going to be fucked with and either you will run out of $20 bills or the area will run out of crack heads.

I don't get it. Give them the serial number. They should be able to tell you the size in a second.

I have a Gen 1 and called them a few years ago. Gave them the number and they told me what I had. It was simple.

Joe's a crook. I bought a fender from him a couple of years ago made for a 300. I get the fender, and the cutout for the chain is on the Left side! I tried to reason with these jokers, telling them this was false advertisement, because there wasn't any 300 bikes running from the Left side. They bought these fenders for pennies on the dollar, and then sold them to unsuspecting consumers.

I only buy small parts from them now, and only because the prices are so good!...
