How much room do you have between the disc and leg? You may have to shim the caliper out farther or if you don't have enough room to do that you'll have to move it as far as you can leaving a 1/4" between the disc and leg and have the wheel re-spoked for the rest of the offset.

RW... My rotor is already up against, well, around a 1/4 inch away from my fork tube. No more room to bring it over anymore.. How much can be achieved with the laces? Just had a case of deja vu...

Pit.. if I mount it directly to the tube bracket, the caliper wont be making contact. I am wonder if I was better off with a set up like you have.

so the wheel has to go to the right? or to the left as you sit on the bike to be in alignment.

btw did that rim come off a single or dual disc wide glide? The single disc spokes are offset more. I'm thinking you got a dual disc rim (or a narrow glide).

RW... If I was on the bike, the caliper is up against the left tube. The tire needs to go to the left another 1/2". On the right side of the rim, there are no holes for mounting another rotor. This was bought as a rolling chassis.

"you can use a narrow glide wheel on a wide glide.. but a wide glide wheel wont work on a narrow"

Will post dimension later. I am thinking its a 6.5 hub and cant remember if the tubes are 11" in between. BBL

just for shits and giggles take a straight edge off each side of the hub and see where the rims sits.

you are saying that your bracket sets the caliper too far to the right? You can shim the bracket and the caliper if needed. I had to machine a mount before and make the mounting surface thinner to make everything fit. Like the previous posts, if you have the wrong wheel for your front end, you would have to change the hub. If that's the case, its cheaper to get a new wheel than to fuck around with putting a new hub on it.

If I was on the bike, the right side is 1 3/4" from hub to lip of the rim with a .875" axle spacer....

On the left side, that holds the brake, is .875" from the hub to the lip on the rim with a 1 1/2" axle spacer.

The wheel is 3/4" to the right, non brake side with the caliper installed.

This is where I start throwing the computer thinking about the 10% who never finish kits and even less, starting from scratch as I am doing.... I could throw some shit out there and blame merchants, but right now I am going to keep moving forward and save it for later... Remember, this is my first build, and its a learning experience for me in all phases and I take full responsibility for "not knowing" what works where. Working on my HD is NOT the same! I knew this going in and understand that considering this, mistakes will happen. I am prepared to move forward.. Thank you everyone who was, is and will be helping me... Eric
