Soon as I shovel myself out tomorrow morning Im heading in to work on my sled. Will grab some more shots then.
I have to get a pulley remover to take off pulley on the trans because I am switching to a rear chain drive. I got the sprockster with the rear caliper and the chain is on the way. The chain is a 530x120 XDL. I hope its ok for the build as I got a great deal on it...I have the brackets for the oil tank made, now I need to weld them on. Still need to get bungs for the oil tank but think I am going to make those myself with my drill press and some taps. I made a 3/8ths chain strut that came out real good but I am not sure, tacky maybe?, I am trying to keep it real... I am not happy with this sentry rear fender, so I might be shopping for a new one. I have written down a complete log of parts and will put on here this weekend...

Frustrating day today.. Goes to show that I have a lot to learn on building a bike. I Went to go and install my front DNA caliper with the bracket that looks like it goes to a Jay brake.. It caused my wheel to become offset to the right side by over a 1/2 inch! I gave up for the moment to think about whats going on and realized I made a dumb mistake of putting the fork tubes on the wrong side with the mounting tabs facing upwards. Once I switch the tubes over, I hope this solves my offset problem. Installed the exhaust today without a hitch!, and mounted the oil bracket as well as reallocation of the battery box to accommodate another box underneath for wiring..

tackle 1 job at a time. It gets a little confusing if you jump all over the place.

Your right guys... Was going to head out there today but I am taking a step back. Going to start with the back caliper and work my way forward. Everything is there, now its time to go.... I need to get some ideas on the type of banjos I need. DNA front and back..... Still have to make a 1 7/8 socket for compensating nut. Might as well pick up a few more cut off wheels and pick up a butane torch in case that nut drive me nuts. No flame, just heat....

I fixed the forks and mounted the caliper. Should it be mounted on the outside of the bracket on the tubes to make up the 1/2" offset that it has to the right? My wheel is to the right a half inch!!!

Still practicing my TIG welding and a chain...

I am not sure if I like this exhaust but with a baffle at the end 2into1, it will help pass inspection.

looks good..... about the caliper..it looks like you have a bracket in there.. well as long as the center of the caliper centers on the rotor..you may need shims to get that set... shims are common..i have some on my calipers...

Thanks Pit... The problem is, it too far to the right, as if the bracket is causing it to be off center. the wheel needs to come more to the caliper side a half inch.

As if the tire needs to come over the thickness of the bracket. It is needed to mount the caliper in the right position on the rotor.

right I understand... can you just remove the bracket? will the bolt holes on the caliper match up with the mounting holes on the fork tube? your wheel should be centered in between the forks..or it can cause tracking issues ..so I here...
