S&S Super G

Ok guys i have a 05 AIH legend with a 111'' S&S. Was out riding the other day, seen this small bike shop and stopped. They had a couple bikes outside for sale. One of them had a set of L.A. Chopper pipes.Been looking to change my very very short sampsons, that were on the bike when i bought it. the original was a 2 into 1. The L.A. chopper pipes are bout 10'' Longer with a little baffle. I orderd the new pipes and ask them to install and re-tune carberator,The pipes will be here tomorow. This is my question. He told me he would re-tune but he might have to re jet S&S super G.This kinda suprised me .Im no mech.but i read this forum every day, And it just dont sound right with a super g. I want to help out the small shops. Basicly do you think he knows what he talkin bout?

super G

Totally agree with scary...If there is a length difference or ID difference in the pipes you will probably want to at least check out the jetting. Another words ride the bike, get it good and hot, see if it backfires on decel, or hesitates while opening it up. Those carbs are so easy to jet that the worst part of jetting a super G is taking the bowl off to get to the intermediate jet. Dont forget to keep in mind the Accelerator pump setting....The shop guy sounds like he knows his stuff.

ok so whats the jets for a 100 ultima w/S&S G

See bunch of threads on bigger sizes but will someone please give me their best guess on the jet sizes for a 100 ultima with an S&S g...thanks so much guys

My bike will not scale the rpm range. If I bring it up to rpm and try to haul ass it dies and shrugs...let off ..it runs fine....Jetting right.I think the idiots who put this bike together left stock jets and from what I'm reading they don't work for 100 ci and up engines
