ultima 127 noise

Hi just after a little help.
I have an ultima 127 closed primary started and ran for the 1st time for more than a quick start. I have a dull opo or thump noise which seems to echo through the carby.
Any ideas on what this could be, would the inlet manifold make this sort of noise?
Thanks

I was going to say that.
The flat slide in the Mikuni does have a thump sound of its own.

Cheers it is an s&s super g but does sound alot like a carby noise, I have the staintune pipe which is super quiet to get it passed this may make engine type noises more noticeable.

Hi back onto the noise issue. Are the engnes a bit noisy during the first x amount of miles?
The noises ae very dull and the engine has 40psi oil pressure and seems to run and idle fine. Sorry for all the questions but first bike build fom scratch and dont want it to kaboooom.

Cheers
