03 Legend Ignition

I bought an 03 AIH Legend from a salvage auction with the understanding that it didnt have a key. Well when it got here, it not only didnt have a key but was also missing the ignition and the male 6 prong plug. I bought an ignition from a guy, but of course it didnt have the male end of the plug. I am hoping that someone out there that has rewired their bike happened to keep some of the wiring, or if anyone knows how to bypass the male end of the plug. Also looking for a set of pipes for it, and front rim since they were damaged as well. Thanks, new to this whole proccess so I appreciate any help I can get.

Welcome to CC

If you're talking about the male plug that is inside the key switch housing - that is the starter relay

if that's the case, you can't really bypasss the relay if you want to have a start button on the handlebars

So, draw a diagram of the prong position and go to an indy shop (maybe even an HD dealership) and try to find the relay that will fit

As for pipes, LOTS are available - you want to get pipes that were made to fit pre '99 Softail

Thanks for the info about the pipes, was hoping that there was something out there interchangeable. I took some pictures of the plug and I'll take that to some of the H.D. dealers around here and see if they have anything that will work. Just need to figure something out. Thanks again for any help.

You can also try an auto parts store for the relay

A lot of the relays are car parts as well

Vance and Hines offers some direct fitment pipes for AIH.

If its RSD these may work. I can save you some money on them if interested.

A local custom shop might be a better place for advice in a AIH than a HD store........Hopefully its just a relay as Merlin pointed out
