FSD exhaust

I did a search and did see to much on this company's pipes. Has anyone here used them? I really like there hot rod style pipes and was going to order them. However I wanted to see if any one had any issues with them. Good or Bad.

As always thanks for the help

Frankie designed all Trotta's pipes and they seem to be very well constructed. The fit and finish on the pipes I saw in Trotta's showroom are impressive. The pipes bolt together and use no other brackets, but seem very sturdy. Eddie fired up a 125" with his D2's for me and man was that thing loud! I might buy a pair of Frankie's Hotrod Slashed for mine in silver ceramic because the chrome ones definitely blue.

All things being equal..............from a true performance standpoint, "louder is slower". Of course this can be offset by mucho cubic inches in a "minimalist" type of vehicle. TK.

I just order a set of Hot Rod Gloss Black from Frankie, He is custom making a set to fit around my intake. He is very helpful. I have not got them yet but I did speak to a bloke who bought a set of Ceramic Silver Hot Rods and he said the finish was the best he has seen and was very impressive. I will let you know when I get mine. I am fitting them to a 127ci from SMW. I guess losing a few horse power is a small price to pay to have people piss their pants when you pass them! With 140HP to spare a few should not hurt too much.

Looks a lot like those Paul Yaffe Phantom pipes. Not as much up-turn though.

i bought of set of exhaust from this guy a while back and the quality was trash. The pipes wouldnt bolt up properly and wouldnt seal against the engine right. It always sound like it had an exhaust leak or something. The crome had pits in it and little holes from where there was poor grinding and bad welding. After buy them i realized that their pipes and miamiexhausts.com pipes were the same. Also that the number i called for frankie was a 305 number which is miami so i think there is something weird going on there.I wouldnt buy from him again or recommened it.

I ordered a set from Frankie and his company FSDesigned.com not Miami exhaust and I have just received them today. I have had a look at Miami Exhaust and their pipes are similar but Frankie makes them with more steps in them. 4 steps instead of 3 (1.75"-2.00"-2.25"-2.50") I purchased the Hotrod- Black Gloss.

Frankie and Sarah were exceptional with service and answering all my questions and requests. Frankie made them fit to my specifications so that I could fit them under an S&S G-Carb and intake on my 127 Ultima.

The finish on the the set I received was outstanding. The welds at the stepping points were as smooth as silk, they didn't even look welded they were that smooth.

As for the $500USD I spent I cannot imagine getting a better looking set of pipes.

I will update this thread in the future when they are fitted. Unfortunately I have to fit a set of Supercrapps first to pass Engineering and Registration.

Redneck if you email me at lushmodels@mac.com I will send a picture of mine, I cant get larger pics to download onto the sight.

BoostedBoss, I guess you just got a crappy set, were they personally made by Frankie? If so he has definitely perfected these pipes now.

DO NOT BUY A SET OF PIPES FROM F.S.D!!
Customer service is shit, he will take your money and make you wait forever.
I would do business with Miami Exhaust if you want great customer service
and a pair of bad-ass pipes.

Hit me up for my experience before you buy pipes from F.S.D!!!

From what I have read & heard Frankie has worked for Eddie Trotta & for Jim at Miami Exhaust before opening his own business. Also he had designed the pipes that you see on there web sites. Maybe someone will come in an verify this. I don't know anything about Frankie's pipes, but I did talk to him a few days after I purchase a set of pipes from Miami Exhaust ( he was returning my call to him). He was very informative & warn me about Miami Exhaust. I should have listen, what he said did happen!!

Now as far as Jim at Miami Exhaust, there customer service SUCKS!!!! I have a s set of there pipes, they look good & sound good, but thats all I have to say about that. I had to call Jim on several occasions asking were all my pipes, my heat shields, long story that went on for almost 3 months. Bottom line is that Jim owes me $100.00 for a set of heat shields that originally did not fit & were returned to him. I would NOT give Miami Exhaust and endorsement of any kind or the sweat off my ..... if he dying from thirst!!!

That's how I feel, customer service to me is everything, lying, not returning phone calls, e-mails, & not doing what one says says a lot about Miami Exhaust. Glenn

Glenn I agree with you 100%! Its all about how you treat and take care of your customers!
Your story sounds like what I went thru with Frankie at F.S.D, the guy is just a complete bullshiter, and for his asst. Sarah she is just as bad. They strung me along for about 2 months, finally I said enough. Told them I am done with them and would never say one word good about there business.
Its amazing how with the way things are today, the consumer gets treated like dog shit.
As per the pipes you got from Miami Exhaust did they turn out well, customer service aside?

THANKS
