Hate to see AIH closing. I'v been waiting on a replacement speedo since Oct. 2007. I still love my bike I just hope I can find parts when needed.

I spoke with a girl (via email) about the AIH speedos (she works for the company that made/makes them). Didn't tell me much about whats going on with AIH in general BUT, did say if I have a speedo issue to contact her...............

told her, thus far (coming up on 4 years in June) I've had NO problems with mine. But there seems to be ALOT of folks out there that have had issues...............just wanted to make sure they are "available" IF I needed another one down the road

cont............

After chatting with Brooke via email some more. I also learned that "2" other companies also made speedos for AIH. This could be the reasoning that some got "GOOD" one's and other's got "BAD" ones. It just made no sense before why so many people had trouble with their's and yet so many OTHER"S didn't....................now I know why!!

She informed me that their company stands behind "their" product 100%, and that if I need service to contact her. She kept my name & email address and said "IF" she heard anything about the status of AIH she'd, "tell me what she could".

Bingo!!!! This is what I have heard also, I had the one on the Slammer and LSC go out within about 5 miles of each other. The newest ones I believe now have the brighter LED's, at least that is what I've heard from the dealer. Since they have both been replaced we haven't had any issues. (Knock on wood)

aih

Since this is a thread already started about AIH, thought I would ask a ? off the main topic. Seems alot have probloms with their speedo, has anyone changed it out to another brand? Wanna change my bars out, just not sure how the whole speedo transfer will go. I wanna stay away from a digital & go with a simple needle speedo & odometer. Do they make a speedo for somehting like this? later thanks
