Would this battery work

As most people I'm really cramped for space. I have an Ultima 100 and a 1.4 kw All Balls starter. I am looking at a Braille B106. The pulse cranking amps are 527, cranking amps are 283 and cold cranking amps are 210. The reason I am considering this battery is because of size, height to be exact. I have a oil tank with a battery box. I am trying to put my seat pan as low to the frame as I can. Right now the seat will hit a battery that is 6" tall. If I could find a battery that is 5" or less in height that would get my seat where I want it. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Brailles are excellent batteries, but that one is a bit small on CCAs

Can you lay your battery down on it's front or back or modify your box to give you more room for a larger battery.

Having said all of that, you don't need a real big battery IF you have a 1.4kw starter, and IF you have compression releases.

I'd try to fit in a bigger battery (300 CCAs +) but the B106 should work. The key is in keeping it always at full charge and the bike in tune

.

I used a 200 CCA battery on my 121" TP with compression releases with very bad results....went thru 4 of them. Switched to the smallest V-Rod style and problem went away. Also the Matt Hotch battery should prove to be a life saver. Albeit at a very high $$.

I used a PC310 by Odessey. 310 is the cca. It was used with a 1.7kw starter and a stock twin cam no compression releases. It works great and is a dry cell, so it can be mounted in any position. Go to their web site for the exact dims, but its a very small battery.

I've had a Braille 14115 for 2 years. Spike 1.8KW starter on a Revy 100 no releases. Worked in that configuration. Good batteries, but pricey.
