Worn Engine Spline

Does anyone out there have any experiance with a 1988 - 80 Ci where the main shaft spline is wore and stripping splined pulley inserts?

The question is can I change out the engine spline without tearing the engine down. I see the part in the parts list and it looks like it threads into the crank.
Thanks
Harry

You have to split the cases but the good news is you can replace just the shaft. Some newer engines arent that easy.
