Yeah, well just a figure of speech ... anyway, Rolls Royce got bought out by BMW a few years back, so now that they're not British-owned the products are bound to be crap ... ooops, sorry! Bugger, I didn't mean to let that slip out.

Actually, I went round the RR car factory in Crewe (albeit about 20 years ago) and was massively dissapointed. It was just like a leyland '50s production line, so when they said "hand-built" all they really meant was that they didn't use any robots. At one point they said "now we'll show you Fred, our oldest worker. He balances the engines" and I was expecting a wise old guy meticulously hand-building the motors, weighing pistons etc. to get it all spot on ... but what we saw was an aging dimwitt operating a big balancing machine that worked much like a tyre balancer on a bigger scale, and all he had to do was wait for it to tell him when to advance a cutter into the flywheel, and how much by, to counteract the varying weights of the reciprocating parts which were in turn being slapped together into a block by another bunch of dimwitts ...
(ahem. Apologies to anyone who used to work at R-R, Crewe in the '80s ... maybe)
Gee Don sorry to Hijack your Thread....Monty my boy did they wear name tags at R-R

Yeah, but they were all the same - they just said "A. Dimwitt"

Nah, I've maybe been a bit uncharitable, but it was just such a dissapointment to see these cars that were supposed to be so wonderful, hand-made, exclusive (and bloody expensive!) machines actually just being banged together in much the same way as they used to make Morris Oxfords or Minors or whatever at Cowley in the 1950s.

Oh hi Don!

Not sure who you're referring to () but I'd be very interested to take a look inside an R/T via your much appreciated efforts, as I've never stripped one of them either (which says summat, I suppose).

Some do like my efforts, then there are some that dont.
So, what would be a good name for this potential thread regarding the Korean made R/T 100.
How about, "The Koreans couldnt make a good screwdriver, so they made this crappy engine!"

But, what about you plasterhead? You still hide behind the internet, as the coward you are.
You certainly cant even do the simple repairs on your own bike.
Your massive movement to drive me off clubchopper is only a very few.
Your hijack of this thread only exposes more to what is in a quality engine.
Keep it up you are doing fine.
