SO your thinking to get one? !!
Shure the weild cab be done well and will Hold. You could even stick it with Farmer Rods .
But If I was shopping for a Weilder I'd get a Nice Tourch over the Mig. Hands Down...Rent the Tanks. And get a Cinder Block Table set up.

Now a Tig is the Caddy if you want to spend the Extra Coin , $1000 and up>When your talking AC-DC.
Some Units are under that price but they won't Do Alum.

Have A Look for a Weild supply Shop and Shop there.
Shure Sears has some Nice Tools but they sell Ladies Shit also.

Thanks so much for the help....

I'm a long way off from welding right now....I've got to continue with some serious researching....I've been reading and reading and printing and reading and printing more....anything I can find on building these things.....feel like a sponge in a bath tub....

I'm very much a newbie...but there's nothing gonna stop me from building my own bike to as close to my own specs as possible....I can almost see the finished product in my head (still a few design details to decide on).........But I know once I actually get into the build phase...I'll prolly end up changing things here and there.....in the mean time I'm gonna be sharpening up my welding skills....(self taught in that as well...but pretty good at it).

SO...thanks again for the help....but the questions have only begun!

Josh.
