Fork tube removal w/HHI trees
So after doing a bunch of work and giving the bike a shakdown ride,got back home cleaning it and discovered a forktube seal leaking.Trying to get the tubes out of these HHI trees with hidden caps.I put these trees on about 10 years ago and IIRC I used anti seize.Loosened the trees and tried rubber gloves and a "deathgrip",a strap wrench,leather belt and big channelocks-no dice.I'm considering useing some heat at this point.Just how ginger do I need to heat namely the upper tree where the tube screws up in there?Heat gun or propane torch?Thanx in advance......
