Villain tank
I've been told I'm better off replacing my Villain tank. I am fighting rusting issues (which by itself may be solvable) but also tank fitment or failure. I noticed that the tank moves while riding and I'm chewing up rubber mounts and replacing them frequently.
My question is, if I decide to replace the tank with another villain tank, are the mounting holes basically the same or do I risk fitment issues trying to install on the existing tabs?
Thanks in advance for any input

I would think they should be the same dimensions, but you might be a mm or two off depending on builder if its a different maker.

Thanks. Seems like I should try to save this tank first. In that vain, I'm thinking I should approach it like a fresh install. After installing the tabs on the frame, is there a trick to making sure everything is lined up properly before securing the tank?
Currently, with visual inspection, the tabs are not perfectly flush with the tank mounting surfaces. Should the minor imperfections matter with the rubber dampners?

Could you do solid mounts instead of rubber dampners?
