Tauer Machine Open Primary’s

I gots an old Warlord Tauer Machine 3” Open Primary that I bought new in 2008. Have 48k miles on it. I contacted Jason Tauer a few times over the years for parts he has laying around that I needed; great guy…but he’s been out of business for a while now.

Anyway; one of the parts that seem to be taking a beating is the Clutch Basket. I bought one off him a few years ago and the new one is getting beat up pretty hard from the friction plate engagement. BDL clutch baskets may work but the tooth arrangement would need to be changed. Just wanna keep my old Warlord going.

So…I have a decent machine shop near me that’s gonna make a new basket from another material, other than aluminum that the original made from.

Has anyone else encounter similar problems with their Tauer Machine clutch baskets wearing from clutch plate engagement? If so, do you have a fix?
