Ultima 140

Well finally pulled the trigger. Bought the Ultima 140. going through the break-in period, 80 whopping miles so far. It starts and runs well. Runs warmer than my 113. It will take a while for it to break in. Should run cooler when all is done. I will put a bigger Mikuni carb on when done with the break-in. Along with some good stepped-tunned pipes..I can't wait to hammer it!

Please keeps us updated... that's a whole lot of HP right there. It's hard to beat the Ultima engine..

The top engine mount is a little taller, right? If so, how did you deal with that?

Excited to hear back as well. This is a very intriguing motor for the price.

Also curious, what frame the 140 go into? Wouldn't mind hearing someone's description of how a 140 hits when in a rigid frame.

I think the 140 is like an inch taller, So you have to account for that.
I have a 80 Evo in a rigid that will lift the front end, 140 might be overkill on a rigid, but hell if it dosnt sound like fun.

You could probably move the top motor mount on some frames. OP wasn't clear on what he had to do, if anything.

I've got a 96" Twevo in my rigid frame. I think it's a little taller then a evo.

I think its just a "shorter" top motor mount, I know for the FXR the 127 should be a direct fit, but for the rigid, I need a new motor mount. (Granted the rigid dosnt need anything larger than the 80 lol

If the engine clears the back bone then you should be able to figure out a mount...provided you have the talent to measure, cut and weld. I can do the first two, decent the last one I leave to me buddy..okay, all the fab work I leave to him.

My motor mount is a two-piece. I just put the side piece to the top instead of on the bottom..

If your engine now fits close to the top rail. the 140 will not fit. I think they say it's 5/8" taller.. It is.I think my 113 was a littler taller? maybe not?
