Where is this Santee VIN

Hello all,

I bought a custom chopper 3 years ago and am still sorting bits and pieces out on it (making a 2-up seat at the moment).

From the history it was a Nemesis bike kit that uses a Santee D&D 3" stretched frame. This has since been modified with a 240 wide rear end (no idea of the make) and has had the neck raked.
I think the neck was changed as part of the raking but can not be sure.

I can't find the VIN anywhere; neck, downtubes, front engine mount (that a lot of people have said is where it should be).
The VIN is 4B7H84693Y800xxxx and VIN searches say this is a Global Motorsport/Custom Chrome frame from 2000.

I assume the VIN has either been cut off with the neck or painted over.

Does anyone know where the VIN should be for this specific frame?
Does the photo look like a Santee neck or a replacement?
If it has been cut off with the neck, does anyone know what size and style font Santee use to mark the VIN, and are there any special characters at the start and end?

Sorry about the neck photo, no idea how to rotate here.

Cheers

That was just a plate I had made up but the UK MOT test station said it wasn't genuine.

The paperwork says there is a 17 digit VIN that must have been checked when the bike was UK registered in 2008.
Either it has been painted over (possibly on front lower engine mount as some forum posts have said), or it was on the neck that was cut off when the frame was raked.

I was hoping that someone would be able to say a 2000 Santee frame had the VIN in a certain location.

Looking at the 3rd picture it looks like the bottom of the gusset has been cleaned up. That's one of the places Santee put the VIN.. another place might be the front face of the front bottom engine mount.

I have used a magnifying glass on the bottom motor mount but couldn't see anything. The paint is pretty tough so I didn't bother trying to chip it off.
I think it might have to wait until i strip the frame back to see, i'll keep my little printed plate until then.
