oil stained chrome pipes

leaked oil on my pipes during a trip. now have black spots on exhaust. have not found anything that will get them off. have scrubbed with various chrome cleaners including white diamond. have tried semi hot as well. can't scrape off with razor knife either.
anyone have this happen and found a fix?

I dont know how true this is but I was told that if you apply Coca-Cola with aluminum foil it gets all sorts of stains off of chrome.
Never tried it myself as I dont do chrome these days, my new love is to powder coat as much as possible.

I've had good luck cleaning rust and all sorts of random shit off chrome with S.O.S. pads from the grocery store or big box store. Been using them for about 20+ years on old rims and all sorts of crusty chrome.
